Day 1 WFPB

Day one of my Whole Food Plant Based adventure...

Breakfast: Chocolate shakeology with almond milk, 1/2 banana, natural peanut butter
*I need to switch to Vegan shakeology (it has pea protein instead of whey)
*Is pb allowed? Idk. Need to look that one up. Seem to be coming across different theories when it comes to nuts, nut butters, seeds, and oils.

Snack: Ezekial english muffin with plain coconut milk yogurt & cashews
*Need to get more raw cashews. Sad I can't have the amazingness of the salted flavor lol

Lunch: Quinoa with peas, carrots, and onion. Hot sauce thrown in for flavor.
*I found one source that said my hot sauce was allowed but need to verify this.
*I hate onions. Always have. Unless the come breaded, deep fried, and from a place with "Steakhouse" in the name, I've never been a fan. But I know I need to learn to like em...same with tomatoes. Yeah, tomatoes. I think they're nasty. Hopefully I can learn to love those too!
*Seriously these onions make my stomach burn. Is this normal?

DinnerBaked potato puffs, carrots with hummus, WATER!
*Sucked it up with water intake today. Definitely gotta be better here tomorrow!

Tried Synergy Raspberry Chia Kombucha today...I think it's really good?! Is that weird?? Ha I feel like it's definitely an acquired taste because it's kinda...slimy? The chia seeds float in there and...idk. Just try it. If you don't like it, send it my way. :D

Crazy thing is that I was feeling really full almost all day. Guess that's what happens when you aren't "filling up" with EMPTY calories! :) BUT I was gone from 4-9 and did not leave the house prepared sooooo yeah when I got home I was STARVING!! Need to be more prepared in the future. Need to take healthy options with me wherever I go since I know it'll be so difficult to find something that follows my plan! Can't rely on others to help me reach my goals--I gotta take it upon myself to stay disciplined!

Day one was a success in my book! May not have been perfect but I am doing my best and learning as I go! Thankful for all of the people helping me out and all of the resources I've been finding online. Happy eating, friends! :)
